Build it with your AI
Your AI builds a phone-friendly page you can use and share right away. Claude makes it a shareable artifact. Other assistants give you one file to drop on a free host.
Build this app for me from the spec below.
Goal: something I can open and use on my phone right away, and share with a link.
- Make it a single, self-contained web page (one HTML file with its CSS and JavaScript inside). No server, no build step, no sign-up.
- Design it phone-first: large tap targets, readable text, works one-handed. It should still look fine on a computer.
- Save data on the device (localStorage) so it is still there after closing the page.
- If you can show it as a live, shareable page (for example a Claude artifact), do that.
- If you can't host it, give me the complete HTML file and tell me, in two or three short steps, how to put it online free by dragging the file onto Netlify Drop (app.netlify.com/drop) or Tiiny Host (tiiny.host).
Before building, ask me up to 3 quick questions about anything I might want to change for my own use. Then build it and make sure every acceptance check passes.
Spec from https://bresson.ai/bresson/split-the-bill
# Split the Bill
Split shared expenses among friends and settle up with the fewest payments.
Tags: money, friends, travel
## Problem
Group trips and shared houses end with a messy chat of who paid for what. People want one list and a clear answer to who owes whom.
## Must-have features
- Create a group and add people by name
- Log an expense: who paid, amount, who it was for (even or custom split)
- Running balance per person
- Settle up shows the minimum set of payments
## Nice-to-have
- Multiple currencies with a manual rate
- Copy a summary as text to paste in a group chat
## User flows
1. Create "Lisbon trip" and add 4 names
2. Add "Dinner €84, paid by Ana, split 4 ways"
3. Tap Settle up and see "Ben pays Ana €21"
## Data
Groups (name, people) and expenses (amount, payer, participants, split, note, date), stored on the device.
## Look and feel
One screen: balances at the top, expense list below, a large add button. Friendly rather than finance-like.
## Platform
Web · works offline
## Acceptance checks
- [ ] Adding an expense updates every affected balance
- [ ] Settle up never suggests more payments than people minus one
- [ ] Deleting an expense restores balances exactly
## Known limitations
No bank links or real payments. One device per group.
